Our Staff
Dr. Davis is the director and eye surgeon for Aiea Vision Clinic. He trained in San Francisco and arrived in Honolulu in 1976 as the assistant Chief of Ophthalmology at TripIer Medical Center and in charge of the ophthalmology residency training program for the U.S. Army at TripIer Hospital. He retired from the military in 1979 and opened his civilian practice in Aiea.
Our Eye clinic provides general ophthalmology care. No shot, no-stitch cataract surgery as well as other major eye surgery is performed at Pali Momi Medical Center. Minor surgery and clinical exams are performed at the office located in Pearlridge Office center, across from Pearlridge Shopping Center with lots of free parking.
Office Manager: Our office manager is Roseanne Ishihiro, who has been with Dr. Davis and Aiea Vision Clinic since 1980. She is experienced with all aspects of the operation of the clinic and oversees a staff of 4 others to provide efficient excellent care to all of our patient/clients.
Optician: Julie Diaz is our certified optician and has over twenty years experience as an optician and ten years experience with our clinic. She is always ready to help in the expert selection and fitting of frames and has a large selection of frames and sunglasses to choose from. Our optical department participates with VSP and eligible Medicare patients.
Ophthalmic assistant: Dale Hoxie is our certified ophthalmic assistant. He has over 20 years experience and assists Dr. Davis, preparing patients, performing preliminary measurements and diagnostic procedures and preparing patients for minor surgery.
 Our "front office" staff: (Vangie and Roxanne) are responsible for making appointments, greeting patients and assisting with insurance protocols and requirements. Whenever possible, they will assist in obtaining pre-authorizations and submit claims for your insurance carriers. In order to provide prompt and efficient service to you, our patients, please bring all your insurance cards, photo ID, glasses and contact lens information, if contact lens are worn.
